Pun of the week

From Stephan Pastis, who likes puns almost as much as I do.  Click the image for a larger view at the "Pearls Before Swine" comic strip Web page.

Your feel-good video of the month

A construction operator took a few moments to make two kids very happy.

I don't know if his employer gives a public relations award to worthy employees, but if they do, his name should be on it.  Well done, sir.

Heh - gravity edition

Courtesy of Aesop, here's a collection of Wile E. Coyote's encounters with gravity, compiled from the Road Runner cartoon series.

I giggled.

Memes that made me laugh 6

Another random roundup from the Internet over the past week.

Click the next one to enlarge it.

The last three aren't funny, but they're very true.  You might want to circulate them among your friends on social media.  (Click the first one to biggit.)

More next week.

Memes that made me laugh 5

Another roundup of blog and social media memes that caught my eye this past week.

Click the next one for a larger view.

These last two didn't make me laugh at all - the contrast between them made me very angry:  so much for the First Amendment! - but they certainly make Mayor de Blasio of New York City laughable.  Click each one to be taken to the Mayor's original tweet;  then, if necessary, scroll up to read it (Twitter's pagination isn't always perfect).

I'm waiting for him to tweet equally contradictory and divisive messages to Christians, Hindus, Buddhists, Jains . . .  Hey, he's Mayor of New York City.  Why not be biased one way or another towards every sect?  It's the New York state of mind!
